DigiFT and SBI Holdings Establish Joint Venture “SBI Onchain” to Advance Institutional Onchain Finance

Singapore, 14 November 2025 — DigiFT, a regulated digital asset exchange for institutional-grade real-world assets (RWAs), and SBI Holdings, one of Japan’s largest financial group, today announced the establishment of a joint venture company, SBI Onchain, to accelerate the adoption of onchain finance across Japan and global markets.

SBI Onchain will focus on building the technology, legal, and regulatory foundations needed to bring institutional-grade RWAs onchain, and to connect Japan’s capital markets with global digital asset ecosystems.

Key Pillars of SBI Onchain

• RWA Tokenization & Regulatory Infrastructure: Develop RWA tokenization technology, a robust risk-management framework, and a regulatory-compliant legal structure to make Japanese real-world assets (RWAs) available onchain and connect them with global onchain capital markets.

• Product Innovation & Global Collaboration: Collaborate with leading global asset managers and hedge funds to create RWA-based yield opportunities that meet institutional requirements.

• Regulatory Engagement & Public Blockchain Standards: Promote the adoption of onchain financial services by actively engaging with regulators and developing compliant, institutional-grade smart-contract infrastructure on public blockchains.

As the first onchain exchange licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), DigiFT holds both a Recognized Market Operator (RMO) and Capital Markets Services (CMS) license. The company brings deep regulatory expertise and proven experience in tokenizing regulated funds and securities. Its infrastructure supports issuance, secondary trading, and redemption of tokenized financial instruments within a licensed environment—bridging the gap between traditional finance and onchain markets.

DigiFT’s Hong Kong entity is also licensed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for Type 1 and Type 4 regulated activities.
