– Ethereum has toppled Stellar as the top blockchain for tokenized government bonds while more recent entrants Solana and Polygon also grew.
2) Crypto asset manager Valkyrie amends spot Bitcoin ETF filing [Cointelegraph]
– With the latest spot BTC ETF amendments by Valkyrie and VanEck joining at least six others to make similar changes, five other spot Bitcoin ETF filings are yet to be amended.
3) Bitfinex Securities announces tokenized bond[Cointelegraph]
– Paolo Ardoino, Bitfinex chief technology officer and incoming Tether CEO, said the “exciting” initiative marks the beginning of a new era in capital raising.
4) Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered Ventures test SWIFT killer for stablecoins and CBDCs [CoinDesk]
– The Universal Digital Payments Network instructs and allows transactions, ranging from stablecoins on public blockchains to central bank digital currencies.
5) Gemini sues Genesis over GBTC shares used as Earn collateral, now worth $1.6B [Cointelegraph]
– Genesis wants to use the shares’ initial value in claims and is not releasing additional collateral transferred by DCG, the suit claims.
6) Hong Kong advances CBDC pilot, bringing e-HKD trials to phase 2 [Cointelegraph]
– Phase one was dedicated to full-fledged payments, programmable payments, offline payments, tokenized deposits and the settlement of Web3 transactions and tokenized assets.
7) Invesco Galaxy spot Bitcoin ETF joins BlackRock on DTCC site [Cointelegraph]
– The Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF (BTCO) now appears on the clearing house’s site but doesn’t indicate an impending approval.
8) Singapore, Japan, U.K., Swiss regulators plan asset tokenization pilots [CoinDesk]
– Project Guardian seeks to advance digital asset tokenization pilots for fixed income, foreign exchange and asset management products.
