We are sharing an important safety update to help our community recognise and avoid websites and app pages that are impersonating DigiFT.
These unauthorised pages use the DigiFT name and logo and may ask for passwords, one-time codes or personal information. Some also offer app downloads that may be unsafe. To protect yourself, please access DigiFT only through https://www.digift.io/ and avoid entering information, downloading applications or sending funds through unfamiliar links.
Some of these pages refer to “帝富（香港）科技有限公司 / Di Fu (Hong Kong) Technology Limited” and claim that it is connected to DigiFT. This company is not a DigiFT subsidiary, affiliate or authorised representative.
Related claims may also appear in online articles, search results or AI-generated summaries. These sources can be useful for discovery, but they do not by themselves confirm a company’s affiliation or regulatory status. We encourage users to verify important information through DigiFT’s official website and the relevant regulator before taking any action.
What to look out for
The unauthorised content may appear convincing at first. These are some of the warning signs we have identified:
- Download pages displaying the DigiFT name or logo and offering multiple Android or iOS download links. Please use only links provided through https://www.digift.io/, as files from unofficial sources may be unsafe.
- DigiFT-branded pages asking for passwords, one-time codes or personal information. Always check the full web address before entering any details.
- Articles or search summaries claiming that Di Fu (Hong Kong) Technology Limited is a DigiFT subsidiary or is authorised to use DigiFT’s regulatory licences. These claims are not accurate.
- Inconsistent company, affiliation or licensing information across different pages. If information is unclear or conflicting, pause and verify it through DigiFT’s official website or the relevant regulator.
DigiFT’s safety efforts
We are actively working to limit exposure to this unauthorised content:
- We reported the false media release to China.com, and it has since been removed.
- We reported all identified impersonation websites. Chrome and Microsoft Edge now display warnings when users attempt to visit them.
These websites may remain accessible through other browsers, links or messaging channels. We will continue monitoring the situation and taking appropriate action as new instances are identified.
Four checks to help you stay safe
Before opening a link, entering information or downloading an application, take a moment to check the following:
- Check the web address. Access DigiFT by typing https://www.digift.io/ directly into your browser. Watch for extra words, misspellings or unfamiliar domain endings.
- Check the source. A familiar logo, advertisement, article, search result or AI-generated summary does not always confirm authenticity. Verify important information through DigiFT’s official website.
- Check the download link. Use only application links provided through https://www.digift.io/. Avoid downloads shared through private messages, unfamiliar websites, QR codes or chat groups.
- Check what you are being asked to provide. Be cautious if a page unexpectedly requests a password, one-time code, private key, seed phrase, payment or transfer of digital assets. Pause and verify the request through an official DigiFT channel before continuing.
What to do if you may have interacted with an unauthorised page
If you think you may have visited or interacted with one of these pages, acting promptly can help protect your information and assets.
- If you sent money or digital assets: Using a trusted device, secure any remaining funds in an account or wallet you know is safe. Contact your bank, payment provider or digital asset service provider immediately. If you have suffered a financial loss, report it to the police and email [email protected] so DigiFT can assist with the incident report.
- If you only viewed the page: Close it without downloading anything or entering information. Avoid sharing the live link with others. You may send a screenshot or the link to [email protected] for review.
- If you entered a password or one-time code: Stop using the page and change the affected credentials immediately from a trusted device. Update the password on any other account where you reused it, then contact [email protected].
- If you downloaded or installed an application: Do not open or use it again. Avoid accessing sensitive accounts from the affected device. Change any credentials entered through the application from a separate, trusted device and email [email protected] for assistance.
