The Hong Kong Web3 Festival, hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and HashKey Group, and organized by W3ME, happened from April 12-15 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). This four-day event welcomed over 10,000 attendees, featured insights from 300 industry leaders, and showcased nearly 100 pioneering Web3 projects. Beyond networking and in-depth discussions on Web3 technologies, the Festival also shed light on the ever-evolving landscape of digital asset regulations, with input from esteemed representatives of Hong Kong’s regulatory authorities.

On April 12, Henry, Founder & CEO of DigiFT, delivered a compelling discourse on the “Production Innovation: CeFi VS DeFi” during a panel discussion. Emphasizing how strategic regulatory measures can serve as catalysts for responsible innovation within the CeFi and DeFi spheres. He elucidated the critical role played by regulations in nurturing a conducive environment for groundbreaking financial solutions, ensuring they thrive while preserving the essential equilibrium of the market.

On April 13th, Henry delivered a keynote address focusing on regulatory-compliant real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. During this presentation, he underscored the diversification advantages inherent in this approach and articulated our organizational mission to facilitate the convergence of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and Traditional Finance (TradFi).

Subsequently, Henry participated in a panel discussion cantered around the topic of “Tokenized REC for NET Zero Web3”. During this panel discussion, he accentuated the considerable market potential in this domain, engaging in a discourse alongside prominent industry experts.

On 14 April, DigiFT hosted a prestigious networking event with the theme “The Future of DeFi.” This event united leaders from Web3 projects, asset management firms, financial institutions, and family offices, facilitating a dynamic exchange of insights and perspectives.In an atmosphere of camaraderie, attendees from traditional financial institutions and Web3 pioneers engaged in vibrant discussions. This collision of contrasting viewpoints ignited enlightening dialogues, transcending the boundaries of a typical networking event.

On April 15, Henry delivered an address on the panel titled “A comparison of Tokenization Regimes in Hong Kong and Singapore”. This engaging discussion featured a stellar panel of industry luminaries, illuminated the status of Singapore’s forward-thinking security token regulations and how they are poised to reshape the landscape of future finance.
