Our week kicked off with back-to-back speaking engagements on April 5th, where our team participated in the “Liquidity2024” Summit and the Oak Grove Ventures Crypto 2024. At both events, DigiFT shared insights on the evolving landscapes of tokenization and real-world assets (RWAs), emphasizing the significant role these assets play in the broader ecosystem.
Kevin Loo, representing DigiFT at the Oak Grove event, discussed the intricacies of RWAs, alongside industry experts Cynthia Wu from Matrixport, Rose Hu from HashKey Group, and Niel Su from Arcane Group, paving the way for deeper understanding and adoption.
Main Event: Hong Kong Web3 Festival
From April 6th to 9th, the Hong Kong Web3 Festival, hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and HashKey Group, became a vibrant hub for innovators and disruptors.
Our CEO, Henry Zhang, was invited as a panelist in a critical discussion titled “Unlocking the Value: Integrating DePIN with RWA for Financial Innovation”. Joined by leaders Adrian Clevenot from from PWC (HK), Yves La Rose from EOS Network Foundation, Richard Liu from Huma Finance, and Yaling Liao from TLay, Henry delved into how DePIN could revolutionize financial services when combined with RWAs.
DigiFT’s Exclusive Side Event
Amid a week jam-packed with events, we were thrilled to see a full house at DigiFT’s exclusive side event on April 8th. We hosted a private tram ride through Hong Kong’s dazzling night landscape, offering our guests a chance to unwind and connect. It was a unique chance to kick back and dive into informal yet insightful discussions about the future of finance with key players and potential partners, all while enjoying the city lights.
Digital Economy Summit
The week concluded with the Digital Economy Summit from April 12th to 13th, where the potential of stablecoins and tokenized assets was explored. Kevin spoke passionately about new opportunities in the realm of tokenized real-world assets during a panel discussion.
His insights, along with those from other experts like Thomas Zhu from Asis RWA Workgroup, Rita Liu from RD Technologies, Anthony Ng from Hong Kong Virtual Asset Exchange (HKVAX), and Teddy Liu from JD Technology, highlighted innovative strategies to unlock these assets’ value.
